Owner, Resting Rainbow of the Palm Beaches
Carmelo’s journey to Resting Rainbow of the Palm Beaches is one defined by heritage, hard work, and a return to the heart. After immigrating from Venezuela at age eight, Carmelo’s family settled in South Florida in the 90s. A proud University of Miami alumnus (Go Canes!), he spent twenty years navigating the fast-paced world of investment banking in New York City.
Driven by a desire for a meaningful work-life balance and a commitment to his family, Carmelo returned to his roots to assist his elderly mother and serve his local community. Today, he resides in Delray Beach with his partner, Christina, and their distinguished adopted furry son, Sir Hansel Grey (famously known as “The Duke of Delray”).
As a lifelong pet lover, Carmelo views our animal companions as integral family members. At the helm of The Resting Rainbow of the Palm Beaches, he and his team are dedicated to ensuring every pet—whether furry, feathered, or scaled—is treated with the utmost dignity. The Resting Rainbow of the Palm Beaches’ mission is to provide the Palm Beach community with a soft, empathetic place to land during life’s most difficult transitions.
