Devin and Katy Muldoon founded Resting Rainbow Metro Detroit out of a deep desire to support families through one of life’s most tender moments — the loss of a beloved pet. Based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, they bring a unique combination of compassion, professional experience, and genuine love for animals to everything they do.
Devin spent years in healthcare operations within the mental health field, developing a strong foundation in building systems and teams that deliver consistent, high-quality care. Katy, a licensed therapist and practice owner, brings a calm, nurturing presence that shapes the way Resting Rainbow approaches every family interaction. Together, they understand that grief is real — whether it is for a person or a pet.
Resting Rainbow is truly a family affair. Devin and Katy work closely alongside their nephew, Stephen, who oversees facility operations and helps ensure every pet in their care is treated with the utmost professionalism, dignity, and respect. Families often remember Stephen for his steady presence, kindness, and genuine compassion during some of their most difficult moments.
As parents and proud pet owners themselves, the Muldoons understand firsthand the deep bond families share with their animals, and that personal connection is at the heart of everything they do.
